The website Fotografen.nl is linked to the artists database RKD-Artists. On this website only photographers from this database are shown and can be searched for. In 2009 several important databases with information about photographers have been merged and edited. The adding and editing will continue. Currently almost 10.000 Dutch photographers and more than 30.000 foreign photographers who are somehow related to The Netherlands are available.
Every photographer can be added to the database if there's enough information available. This information must be assessible on a public website which should contain a CV and some photographs. The website Fotografen.nl is not a portfolio website but will link to other websites with more detailed information about a specific photographer.
